Our Community Values
Sleevenotes is built around a shared love of music. We want our community to be a welcoming space where everyone can share their musical journey, discover new sounds, and connect with fellow music enthusiasts. These guidelines help us maintain that vision.
Be Respectful
Respect Different Tastes
Music is subjective. What one person loves, another might not connect with—and that's okay. Criticize music thoughtfully, not the people who enjoy it.
No Harassment or Bullying
Don't attack, harass, or intimidate other users. This includes personal attacks, hate speech, discrimination, and targeted negativity toward individuals or groups.
Keep It Civil
Disagreements about music are natural and can lead to great discussions. Keep conversations constructive and avoid personal attacks.
Write Honest Reviews
Be Authentic
Share your genuine thoughts and feelings about the music you listen to. Your unique perspective is valuable to the community.
Be Thoughtful
Take time to explain your ratings. A well-written review helps others understand your perspective and discover music that might resonate with them.
No Spam or Self-Promotion
Don't post promotional content, spam, or use reviews to advertise. Sleevenotes is about genuine music discovery, not marketing.
Content Standards
The following content is not allowed on Sleevenotes:
- Hate speech, slurs, or content that promotes discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability
- Sexually explicit or pornographic content
- Graphic violence or gore
- Content that promotes illegal activities or dangerous behaviors
- Personal information about others without their consent (doxing)
- Impersonation of other users or public figures
- Spam, scams, or fraudulent content
- Copyright infringement or piracy
Reporting and Enforcement
How to Report
If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it to us at sleevenotes.io@gmail.com. Include the username and description of the issue. We review all reports and take appropriate action.
Consequences
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning or content removal
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination
The severity of consequences depends on the nature and frequency of violations. Serious violations may result in immediate account termination without warning.
